To any band:
You come home after a tiring set, and the tour is over. You walk to your bed, and you slip into it. You find a bomb under your pillow, and its triggered for 15 seconds. Your three options are the following: 1- Find a unicorn and fly into infinite space, 2- Take the delorean back to 1955, and save marty's past, 3- Defuse it with only your wang and a stick of butter. Hey guys!! being in a local band it can be hard to get your name out there, and no i'm not here to "promote my band" I just need some advice from my fellow idols :-) I want to know, what are some things you guys did as a band to promote yourself before you got signed?(other than shows or touring) like for example, passing out demos to people at malls, posting fliers around town, social networking etc. What kinds of promotional techniques helped you guys out the most when you were really trying to get your name out there? -
