- This Means War opened up a whole new set of doors for us to really get outside of our comfort zone and put together lots of really melodically/instrumentally driven music.  It also enabled us to really bring out the heavy aspect of our music, which we are all VERY fond of.

   - I think our most favorite show so far in our career has been Rock on the Range 2012 here in Columbus.  Having that gigantic of a home town show was truly incredible.  Least favorite show is tough to say.  We've had some shows that were less than awesome, but I can't say there is any one show that really stands out like that.

whats the best way to scream with out fuckin up your vocals

Use your diaphram, and you have to use more
technique as apposed to pushing and forcing a scream through your throat. Make sure all your strength and energy is coming from your stomach. Always warm up, you can find some exercise video's on youtube. Also cool off after the show using the same exercises and never drink cold water during your performance, always room temperature. - Gus

Hmm. Thats a great question but that would give away our future plans if we ever were to decide to do a concept album :). I guess you'll just have to wait and see :)


For vocals, such as screaming. What are the best ways to warm up and what helped you progress more/ improve more on vocals

The best way to warm up for me is to find a piano and go up any scale of your choice and follow it using your vocal chords by vibrating your lips and humming up and down the scale, and also practicing reading exercises such as holding your breath using a timer, things of that nature. Touring, warm up exercises, and hanging out with other talented vocalists definitely helped me improve. - Gus

Where did your band name come from? Also, how does the process of writing lyrics go when you have two vocalists? Thank you for your time!

It was the name of a song of gus's old band. Mike and Gus will make up a basic topic together or individually beforehand, but some of it also done in the studio on the spot.

WHAT IS THE FUNNIEST/WEIRDEST THING THAT HAPPENED WHILE TOURING?

I'd say one of them was when we met a random torrets english dude in the UK who looked identical to the monopoly guy. He was waving and hitting people with his cane while swearing and insulting everyone. It was priceless.
